Winners of the prestigious Natural and Organic Awards 2011 were announced at the Natural and Organic Products show at Olympia’s Pillar Hall, London.
The annual awards ceremony, now in its sixteenth year, recognises and celebrates the organic industry’s most innovative and impressive businesses and products in three categories: textile, retail and beauty.
The awards have become the benchmark for excellence and set a standard for innovation, quality and commitment in the natural and organic sector.
The textile and retail winners were selected by a panel of industry experts and professionals from a shortlist of diverse finalists. The beauty winners – divided into facial skincare, bodycare and baby product categories – were chosen after a week’s testing of shortlisted products by a variety of individuals.

Best Organic Retail Award: Whitmuir Organics
Whitmuir is a small mixed organic farm 16 miles south of Edingburgh that has remained dedicated, through thick and thin, to their organic principles and endeavoured to encourage the wider community to see “food as a relationship rather than a commodity.” The farm serves a shop, restaurant, Supporters Club, school and college visits and works alongside universities towards a better organic future.
Best Organic Textile Product Award: Organics for Kids baby garments
Organics for Kids are a Soil Association certified organic babywear brand that is manufactured entirely in the UK. They are dedicated to providing their customers with a unique product with the peace of mind that their entire supply-chain, from field to finished product, is Soil Association certified.
